What you can expect of a Transport
~Pickup
When you book a trip we will provide an approximate time/date. As the pickup day nears we will call you to confirm date and time of pickup. Weather, traffic conditions, and horses that are difficult to load or not ready for pickup impact our schedule. We will update you if our timing needs to be adjusted. On the day of the pickup we will call about one to two hours ahead to get any final directions that are needed and to provide a exact pickup time. If the pickup is before 6:00 AM we will call the evening before to finalize arrangements. It is very important that someone be available to answer the phone. Please provide any and all phone numbers you can. SOMEONE MUST BE PRESENT AT PICKUP AND HAVE EVERYTHING READY FOR PICKUP.
~layover
When we need to stop, we stop at horse motels so that the horses can get off the trailer and in a stall. We have found that the horses do much better this way and arrive fresh and less stressed. And also, the driver can get rest and be fresh and safe for the next day.
~Delivery
When you book a transport we will provide an approximate delivery date. We will update the delivery contact person if our timing needs to be adjusted. On the day of the delivery we will call about one or two hours ahead to get any final directions that are needed and to provide a better delivery time. If the delivery will be before 6:00AM we will call the day before to finalize arrangements. It is very important that someone be available to answer the phone. SOMEONE MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ACCEPT DELIVERY OF THE HORSE. We will let the pickup contact person know that the delivery was completed. Finally the remaining balance if any in CASH, MONEY ORDER, or CASHIERS CHECK will be required PRIOR to unloading the horse.
